Ayatollah Waizzedeh Khurasani: "Basis of Islamic Revolution is Islamic Unity"

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The vice chairman of the International Union of Muslim Scholars declared that the basis of Islamic Revolution is Islamic unity.Ayatollah Muhammad Waizzedeh Khurasani emphasized on preserving the unity among the Muslims society in a visitation of a group of missionaries of Sunni regions of Khurasan province from the Islamic Research Foundation of Astan Quds Razavi.He said, "Imam Ali (A.S.) remained silent in the specific conditions of his time for maintaining the unity among Muslims, and even helped and guided the caliphs in Muslims’ affairs."Waizzedeh Khurasani added, "It must be highly considered to save the unity among Muslims because the Islamic Revolution was formed based on the Islamic unity."He said, "Imam Ali (A.S.), sometimes spoke with his friends, but he never said something which hurt the unity among people."The vice chairman of the International Union of Muslim Scholars mentioned to some verses of Baghareh Surah which emphasize on respecting the enemies."Ayatollah Waizzedeh Khurasani recited some verses of Al-e Emran Surah which emphasize on Muslims’ unity and added, "The Holy Qur’an encourages Muslims to keep the unity and mentioned that its requirement is virtue."He continued, "All Muslims must trust in God and avoid schism. The Holy Qur’an forbids the schism not the disagreement in opinions."Waizzadeh emphasized, "We must be gracious with each other and support each other in order to prevent creating schism among the Muslims’ society."It is notable that from the beginning of Unity Week (Hafteh Wahdat), with cooperation of the Islamic Research Foundation of Astan Quds Razavi and the Islamic Propagation Organization, 6 groups consists of 40 scholars visit the activities of this research center in six consecutive weeks, and Ayatollah Waizzadeh Khurasani gives lectures for them./149
